Background
Digital technologies are transforming every aspect of our societies—from public services and economies to education, health, and communication. At the same time, this transformation is accompanied by pressing challenges: widening digital divides, fragmented governance, and concerns over trust and safety in emerging technologies like artificial intelligence.

Building on the international momentum of the UN Secretary-General’s Roadmap for Digital Cooperation, Our Common Agenda, and the Global Digital Compact, WDTA supports multilateral efforts to shape a digital future that is inclusive, open, safe, and aligned with human rights.

Our Mission
Speed the Innovation. Safety for All. Share Global Gains.

Our Philosophy: 3S
Speed:
We support timely and forward-looking responses to technological change, ensuring governance keeps pace with innovation.
Safety:
We promote safety, trust, and responsibility in digital systems, particularly in the development and deployment of AI and data technologies.
Sharing:
We work to bridge divides and promote digital inclusion, ensuring that no one is left behind in the digital age.
